I hate getting dental work. Perhaps buying a new car from a dealer is even a worse experience. I think that has to do with the fact that salesmen go to workshops where they hear really stupid things like “if the customer leaves, they have less than 5% chance of coming back for the sale. Don’t let them leave!”
BUT - Jordan (our salesman) either didn’t go to those really stupid workshops or completely ignored them because maybe he has a much deeper understanding of the human condition. He was fantastic and made a perfect sale. He knew how to answer all our questions, was positive but never once did we feel pressured.
Also, the other just mind-blowing horrible experience about buying a car is sitting with the finance guy who usually went to the same ridiculous seminars. But our guy moved us through very quickly and did no pressuring during the upscale part (I assume all bosses make them do this). I’ll probably purchase some of those items just for the fact that he DIDN’T push it.
Oh I should say one more really great thing about Jordan. When he asked what other cars we were looking at, he didn’t immediately down play those and have to say why a Volvo was better. He actually had nice things to say about other cars that clearly are great cars. (Lots of great cars out there). So, yeah…he acted like a real human. And it was SO refreshing.
I’ve often wanted to be a car salesman because I think I would outsell everyone else by just not being a dick…and now I don’t have to because Jordan proved that is true. His methods worked perfect on us. It also helps that Volvo makes amazing cars.

Fantastic from the moment we got there. We had researched & knew what we were looking for when arriving. Jordan was assigned as our car concierge. I say concierge instead of “sales person” because there was never a moment of pressure from him or anyone there. He was there to accompany us on the test drive & show us features of the car. We were so impressed by his knowledge of the car. He had the answer for everything we asked. This was a relief as the other car brand dealerships could not answer simples about their cars. Very frustrating. Jordan was extremely available to us at all times. He always answered any texts immediately & never left us hanging. Very attentive! He took care of absolutely everything we needed in this process. Once we sat down to go though the purchase, it was a very smooth transition as well. Robert in finance also made everything easy & streamlined. All in all we had a great experience there & love our new Volvo!

Bought a used Volvo V60 late on a Saturday afternoon recently. Volvo of San Diego conducted our purchase in a professional manner.
Their vehicles are sold at a fixed price so no negotiating was required (or desired). Do your due diligence beforehand so you know if their listed price is fair, reasonable, and commensurate with the market. The price on our vehicle was.
Also, as part of the transaction, we traded in a high-mileage S60 and the negotiation was seamless and rapid. Again, do your research and know what your vehicle is worth as a trade-in and as a private party sale. We felt the trade-in price offered was reasonable.
We experienced exceptional service from Robert McIntyre (Finance), Brian Farina (Sales), and Todd Derovanesian (Sales). There was no pressure to purchase add-ons at any time.
Our experience there was 100% positive. As such, we highly recommend Volvo of San Diego for vehicle purchases.

The windshield is pitted, perhaps 50% to needing replacement. Can't see it in daytime. I saw this near sunset the day I bought it. Asked the dealer the next day. Told that it is acceptable for Volvo certified car. And dealer can't fix or compensate. It is 2024 used. Only issue. Otherwise, happy.

I bought an EX90. The buying process was fine. The car is probably not ready to be released yet. I had to get it back to the service dept. for intermittent faults that seem to be software based. They got me back in quickly without an appointment.
